Instead of counting the numbers of gifts under the tree this morning, I spent my Christmas morning skyping my brother who lives miles away. This Christmas wasn't about the new clothes I got but the faces I got to see this Christmas morning. Over the past year I have realized how blessed this life truly is. And the joy I find everyday giving the gift of love to my family and friends. It's a gift that is looked over and just expected. Can you recall the last time you gave someone your undivided attention and said 'I love you' or a genuine 'Merry Christmas'. It's a gesture that rolls off the tongue without a true thought behind it. It's deed that is shared specifically with ones who experience tragedy or loss but instead of this one day of gratitude, it should be shared 365 days a year. Put the gifts aside for a moment this morning and celebrate life by sharing love this Christmas morning
I expressed my love for family and friends this holiday by crafting gifts for those important people in my life. I spent time brainstorming crafts that suit each person and created something as a holiday gift. It added a more personal touch to each gift and was my way of showing my love and thanking them for being in my life. I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas this season and to take an extra moment to call someone you've been meaning to call. There simply isn't enough good in the world but it only takes one person to bring upon a smile across a face. #HappyHolidays2014
