1. Orange is the New Black: A MUST WATCH series on Netflix. The first season is already available on Netflix, therefore I recommend setting aside these first few days in June to watch them before Season 2 comes out on June 6th. It's a story of a woman in her thirties who is sentenced to fifteen months in prison after being convicted of a decade-old crime of transporting money for her drug-dealing girlfriend. It's a pretty crazy intense show but this American comedy-drama is a series with characters and scenes that keep you on your toes and without hesitation watch episode after episode in just one day. It's summertime, so don't feel too guilty if you watch a few episodes on a rainy day.
2. Spigen Phone case: I have received a few compliments on my phone case due to the fact that the back is clear and I can print and cut any images. I constantly like change and got bored with phone cases easily but the Spigen Hybrid phone case allows me to customized the back anyway I choose. At only $10 on Amazon.com I couldn't pass up the deal!
3. How it Ends by Laura Wiess: Summer time is the time to read books for pleasure not for school! I have already went through two books this summer and this one was definitely a relaxing and easy read for the beach. It was a powerful crafted novel sharing a story of two lives through passion, sacrifice, and complete devotion. Wiess used a unique writing style that jumped from one speaker to the next, therefore I always kept deeply intertwined with the thoughts and reasonings behind their actions. How It Ends is a story of how love ends, how it begins, and how people and events have the ability to change who we are without our even realizing it. I definitely recommend it as a good summer read.
4. Blogilates: Although making the gym a part of your daily routine sounds easy, it can be extremely difficult at times. During the day stuff coming up and time is cut short which is why on on hectic days when the gym didn't fit my schedule I can grab my laptop and take part in a few of the Blogilates video workout series. Cassie the created of Blogilates creates free videos for toning of abs, arms, thighs, legs, butt, cardio, stretching, etc. The videos range from 8-15 minutes therefore it's just enough time to squeeze in a video or two.
5. Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans: Well since I mentioned alternative workouts, this means I can talk food now right? I have a huge sweet tooth, got it from my father. We are two peas in a pod when it comes to sneaking a few Reese's from Mom's not-so-secret stache or a late night root beer float run. When I came across two of my favorite things in one I knew I had to share this delicious combination of chocolate and espresso beans! It's a light little treat but careful not to over indulge, unless you want to feel like an energizer bunny for hours on end.
Soak up the sun, appreciate the small things, and say # HelloJu ne!
