Tis' the season of stuffing our faces, spending time with family, and sharing thanks with those in our lives. Today and everyday we should be thankful for friends, family, work, school, beauty, wisdom, and so much more! I am already entering my 9th month of blogging and I wouldn't have been as successful without the words, readership, and spirits of those who share and occasionally read my posts. I am eternally grateful and can't thank everyone enough! Enjoy my top five favorites for November and share a few of your own as well!
1. Grand Rapids Drive Basketball Team: Get ready for an awesome season for the first D-league basketball team in Grand Rapids. The first game is only 25 days away on November 26th. As a part of the Drive, I am thrilled to be a member of the Grand Rapids Drive Dance Team and perform during half-time, on the side lines, and make various appearances throughout the season. This is something I haven't been a part of since high school therefore I can't wait for the season to begin. Tickets are available online at www.nba.com/dleague/grandrapids and start as low as $10! So don't miss out, tickets are going fast!
2. Elephant Journal: As you all know I have become a big blog junkie the last few months and gather a lot of information from reading blogs and journal entries. The Elephant Journal is one of the blogs I read quite often to gather inspiration and heart warming stories. This journal is dedicated towards green, wellness, family, love, spirituality, society, and yoga, just to name a few. It's an independent media therefore their mission is to share stories from anyone. I hope to share a piece of my own some day with all the elephant readers out there.
3. 2 Broke Girls: Season premiere was October 27th on CBS at 8pm. 2 Broke Girls is a story of literally two broke girls who live in New York and work at a diner in order to save enough money to open their own cupcake shop. The personalities of the two girls reminds me of my roommate, Nichole and I (a brunette isn't complete without a blonde best friend). The hilarious adventures and situations they get themselves into never equates to a dull moment in the show.
4. DIY Lighted Bottles: I sometimes dream of a life where I could devote all of my time to crafting and eventually make a living off of it but for now I settle for crafting during my "spare time", who has spare time anymore? These lighted glass bottles are great gifts for friends and family to showcase a favorite bottle of wine or liquor. All of the gifts I give usually incorporate a sense of me and my creativity. It gives me the freedom to express myself and the uniqueness of the person the gift is for. Good luck and craft away.
5. Cookie Butter: Anything associated with peanut butter is a must-have in my food pantry. Cookie Butter is a delicious spread that tastes like sugar cookies with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. It isn't necessary good for you and hold much nutritional value but it is oh so good! It's okay to treat yourself every once in a while. The downside is I have only found Cookie Butter to be available at Trader Joe's which locations may vary. I personally have my brother purchases multiple jars and mail them to my family and I. We are the family that sweats peanut butter at the gym.
