It wasn't even October yet and pumpkin spice everything hit the shelves, took over Starbucks, and scented candles filled the rooms of every home. As most people can agree fall is the best time of year. For my October favorites I tried to steer away from the pumpkin spiced treats and drink, except for one item that I am slightly obsessed with. I hope your fall is filled with pumpkin spice everything, football tailgates, apple picking, and of course pumpkin carving, just to name a few!
1. JBL Bluetooth Speakers: Portable speakers are a must-have for anyone who spends a majority of your time outdoors. These speakers not only have great sound system for on-the-go but also have a charging capability up to 12 hours. It comes in a variety of colors and is perfect for a little fall camping!
2. Revenge: The Season 4 premiere was on September 28. If you haven't been watching this TV series I highly recommend starting. It was my mother who began watching a few episodes here and there and she finally got me hooked. This mystery drama is a story of a girl who takes on revenge against a family who framed her father. The plot twists and character mishaps always keep viewers on their toes. Seasons 1-3 are available on Netflix or tune in on Sunday evenings on ABC at 10 o'clock.
3. Fleet Foxes: Many of you may have heard of this indie folk band, Fleet Foxes before since they have been around since about 2006 although I just stumbled across them on 8tracks. I personally enjoy their older music from the Sun Giant album. Music is such a wide medium to cover that I can be overwhelmed with remembering alum names, artists names, let alone song names! So I like to find new bands and artists every other week or so to keep expanding and exploring the wonders of music that lies out there.
4. Tazo Baked Cinnamon Apple Tea: Tazo tea is my personal favorite brand of bagged tea, plus it's available almost anywhere. When I saw this flavor of tea on the shelves I knew it would be fall favorite. On a crisp fall day warm up with a cup of apple goodness in a cup! Another alternative of course, is warm apple cider with a dash of cinnamon!
5. Chobani Pumpkin Spice Greek Yogurt: I had to put at least one pumpkin spice item on my list, it is October after all. This limited edition greek yogurt is what I call dessert! For breakfast or an after dinner snack, sprinkle a little granola on top of pumpkin spice greek yogurt for a "healthier" version of dessert that tastes delicious!
Fall is by far one of the busiest times of the year for me. Balancing work, school, football games, birthdays, and all the fall festivities can become difficult. I encourage you this year to reserve time in your busy schedule and make it a priority to get outside to enjoy the beauty that fall has to offer. Breath the cool air, bite into juicy apples, and take time to catch the falling leaves. #OctoberIsPumpkinEverything
